651,000 Jobs Cut in FEB — Reid, Pelosi, Obama  &  Chamber of Commerce Insist on Importing More Foreign Workers

By Roy Beck

Another month has passed. Another half-million (or more) jobs have been lost. And our federal leaders continue to do nothing about auto-pilot programs that are flooding our country with foreign workers.

Nothing has changed since last year when 138,000 new foreign workers were added to the U.S. each month on average.

Here are the latest government facts that can’t seem to soften the hardened hearts of our leaders . . . .

  • The official unemployment rate has soared to 8.1% (highest since 1983)
  • U.S. employers cut 651,000 jobs in February -That is on top of 655,000 jobs lost in January and 681,000 jobs cut in December.
  • 4.4 million — Total jobs eliminated since the recession began in December of 2007.

The number of Americans reeling from the bad job market is staggering:

  • 12.5 million Americans are actively looking for a job and cannot find even part-time employment.
  • Another 8.6 million Americans want a full-time job and have been forced to work part-time.

The Dow sunk to its lowest point since 1997 yesterday, but President Obama says that’s a good thing if you’ve got some money to play around with on the stock market.

While answering questions from reporters today during a photo opportunity with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Obama took the opportunity to hand out some investment tips based on the old ‘buy low, sell high’ maxim: “What you’re now seeing is… profit and earning ratios are starting to get to the point where buying stocks is a potentially good deal if you’ve got a long-term perspective on it.”

There you have, it sound financial advice from a man who managed to double the nation’s debt in less than 6 weeks he has been in office.

The President conceded that he doesn’t get too upset over the “day-to-day gyrations of the stock market,” because he’s focused on “the long-term ability for the United States and the entire world economy to regain its footing.”

Comparing the market to political tracking polls, Obama told reporters, “You know, it bobs up and down day to day.”

Bobs up and down, he is kidding, right?

Now I have to tell you, this has been one of my pet peeves for about forever – the abuse of the welfare system and social programs by lazy, do-nothing, pop-out-more-babies, sit-on-your-ass, drugging, drinking wastes of human life!

Welfare and many of the social programs out there should be used only as a stepping stone, a way to get through a tough time, to get back on your feet, but how many people turn them into a lifestyle, sucking on the government tit and being supported by us, the American taxpayer, while they do nothing, forever?

I am sick to death of hearing people whine that they can’t do anything, that they have no skills but they sure seem to know how to get through the red tape to get those government checks so they can continue to sit on their lazy asses.  People who receive disability but pop out baby after baby so they can get more government benefits, benefits on top of benefits. People who have learned how to work the system to squeeze out every red cent.

I admit, I am short on sympathy and long on cynicism.  Take a look around, be sure to open your eyes, and you’ll see it too.

And the government complains about the debt and raises our taxes!

It’s time for a reform, past time for a reform!

I have a better stimulus package than the one Obama is implementing. Instead of spending close to 800 billion dollars, dollars we don’t have mind you, to possibly create 3.5 million jobs, I propose the following:

1.) Spend 5 billion and build a fence to protect our boarder.
2.) Spend another 2 billion and hire enough boarder patrol agents to place one every quarter mile.
3.) Spend an additional 5 billion for the hiring of new INS agents.
4.) Spend an additional 10 billion for deportation expenses.

Cost of my plan?  22 Billion

Why and how would this help? There are an estimated 20 million illegal imigrants here in the US.  Lets assume 25% of them hold jobs.  Deporting them would then free up 5 million jobs, afterall a good many of them MUST hold jobs because, afterall, these fine folks (who broke the law to get here, what part of illegal is unclear to you) only came here to work, right?
